The Ngorongoro Crater Serena Lodge is perched upon the Crater's edge, looking down into the caldera.

Designed to blend into the Crater wall itself, the Lodge was made with local rocks and natural materials, clearing as little vegetation as possible. Using the local rock art as its theme, the Lodge is decorated in deep reds, oranges, yellows and browns, with samples of the traditional rock art paintings on the walls.

Set at 10,000 feet above sea level, the Lodge is centrally heated and also offers huge fireplaces to keep you warm!

The Lodge offers some excellent walking and hiking opportunities in addition to the game drives within the Crater itself.

All the Serena Lodges are involved with their local communities, providing assistance in various community projects, such as piping water to the local villages and helping with school fees for further education.
